NM500

Data under review

NM500 is the 500 HBW abrasion-resistant plate for severe wear: roughly double the service life of NM400 in sliding abrasion, at higher forming and welding demands.

Applications & Processing

Applications: High-wear buckets and liners, shredder parts, mining truck beds, cement and aggregate equipment.

Processing: Forming radii ≥4–6× thickness; preheat for welding (100–200 °C by thickness); waterjet/plasma cutting preferred.

FAQ

Is NM500 always better than NM400?
No — NM500 wins in pure sliding abrasion but cracks more easily under impact and heavy forming. Many fleets use NM500 for floors/liners and NM400 for formed parts.
