ASTM A514
Data under reviewASTM A514 is the American 100 ksi yield Q&T alloy plate, used where section weight must come down without giving up strength. Each of its letter grades is a different alloy system engineered for weldable high strength in thick plate.

Applications & Processing
Applications: Crane booms, mining equipment, pressure-vessel supports, heavy vehicle frames.
Processing: Weld only with qualified procedures, low-hydrogen consumables and controlled heat input; flame cutting requires preheat on thick plate.
