353MA

Data under review

353MA is a silicon-, nitrogen- and cerium-alloyed heat-resistant austenitic stainless (a proprietary Alleima grade under UNS S35315) built on a 25Cr-21Ni base. It targets carburizing and oxidizing furnace atmospheres at 950–1150 °C, upgrading 310S parts that fail by scaling, creep or carburization.

Applications & Processing

Applications: Cement and lime kiln components, waste incineration, radiant and furnace tubes, annealing covers, petrochemical reformer parts.

Processing: Welds with matching or nickel-base fillers; the cerium-bearing oxide scale is self-repairing, but the material is notch-sensitive at room temperature after high-temperature service.

FAQ

353MA vs 253MA?
253MA is a 21Cr-11Ni grade for oxidation/creep duty to ~1150 °C at lower alloy cost; 353MA carries far more nickel (20–22%) and chromium, adding carburization and thermal-fatigue resistance for the most severe furnace service.
